Event: March 31st, 2012 AZWAY Kick-Off Classic in Prescott, AZ

AZWAY will be starting its 2012 season at Prescott High School this year.  The tournament will be for 7th through 12th grade wrestlers.  Medals to be awarded to top  3 wrestlers.  Entry fee $15 per wrestler.  Admission into event will be $4 per adult, $2 per student, and children under 5 yrs old get in free. 

Weigh-ins will begin at 8am and end at 9am.  Wrestling will begin at 10am and go into the afternoon.  More information to follow including weight classes.

For the first tournament of the regular season wrestlers will not have seeding points and the first bracket will be filled in randomly. Any wrestler that participates in an AZWAY sanctioned event will receive 1 seeding point. For regular event the wrestler who finishes in 1^st place will receive 4 bonus seeding points with the bonus points being reduced by one according to the placing with the 4^th place finisher receiving 1 bonus seeding point. All subsequent events will be seeded according to accumulated seeding points from AZWAY sanctioned events. As noted above only those wrestlers who take advantage of the Friday night weigh-ins will be rewarded with being seeded. Pre-season events will not count towards seeding of future events.
